The top of the line chipset from mobile chipset market leader supports two times the HD resolution, quad core with speed up to 2.3 GHz speed.
LG has announced that it will include Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset in the next Optimus G (rumored to be called G2). The Snapdragon 800 chipset is the top of the line solution from Qualcomm and is likely to power next flagship phones from all major brands.
However LG has not disclosed the date of launch or other feature of the phone. Qualcomm claims that the new chipset offers 75 percent better performance than the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor.
The chipset houses latest Krait 400 processors in quad configuration with speeds up to 2.3 GHz. It also supports asynchronous computing which allows only the required number of cores to be activated depending on the need of the task, reducing the battery consumption. It will also get latest Adreno 330 GPU. The chipset will also support ultra HD display with resolution up to 2560 x 2048 pixels.
